Please follow the instructions below to check the settings in your Chrome web browser to address the ad block message being displayed on a Publisher's website.

STEP-BY-STEP DETAILED TEXT INSTRUCTIONS

Please do the following to troubleshoot CHROME (Computer)…

  1. Please do one of the following...
    • Copy and paste the following into a new tab: chrome://settings/security
OR click the 3 stacked dots icon () in the top right corner of the window and then scroll down and click '⚙️ Settings'. Then click "Privacy and security" from the menu on the left side of the screen .
      • Please Note: If you are using a device with a small screen like a phone or tablet, this menu may need to be accessed by clicking the 3 stacked lines icon () next to 'Settings" at the top left of the page.
    • Now, under the 'Privacy and security' header, towards the bottom of the list, click "🔒Security". Here we want to make sure that Safe Browsing is set to "Standard protection".
      • Please Note: If this is set to “Enhanced protection” and grayed out / unselectable with a little building icon to the right of the line, this means the setting is managed by your company or organization IT administrator, and you will need to contact them to address this issue.
  1. Next, please do the following...
    • Copy and paste the following into a new tab: chrome://settings/cookies
OR click 'Privacy and security' on the left side of the screen and then click "Third-party cookies"
    • Scroll to the bottom. In the "Sites allowed to use third-party cookies" section, click the "Add" button and then type in the URL of the website without https:// or www. at the beginning of the URL or anything after the domain (.com, .net, etc.). Now click “Add”. Please confirm that the URL is now listed under this section.
  2. Next, please do the following...
    • Copy and paste the following into a new tab: chrome://extensions
OR click " Extensions" towards the bottom of the left menu.
    • Here you will see a list of Extensions and we will need a screenshot for each time you have to scroll down a full page view. You will need to paste as a reply to the email thread you have going with our support team for them to look at this list and determine if any of the Extension programs being used could be causing the ad block message to appear.
  3. Lastly, once the above has been done, please refresh the site by clicking the () icon to the left of the URL bar. Are you still getting the ad block pop-up message?
    1. If you do NOT see the message any longer...
Congratulations! You have fixed it. Give yourself a pat on the back.
    2. If, yes, you do still see the ad block message...
Apologies. Something is still going wrong and we will need to troubleshoot this further on a web call where we have you share your screen and we work through the issue together in real time. To schedule a troubleshooting call, please CLICK HERE
