How To: Troubleshoot Apple Safari (Computer)

Please follow the instructions below to check the settings in your Safari web browser to address the ad block pop-up message being displayed on a Publisher's website.

STEP-BY-STEP DETAILED TEXT INSTRUCTIONS

Please do the following to troubleshoot Apple SAFARI (Computer)…

  1. Open a new Safari web browsing window by clicking on the icon: j1r7jahhhucj79l3dnbd0dn0k2-3fb52544f2e99df722dce90caa4b32b1
  2. At the top of the screen, at the menu bar, to the right of the Apple icon, click "Safari" and then select "Settings" from the drop-down menu
    OR click the following keys at the same time: 'Command ⌘' + ' , '
  3. Click "Advanced" and look for the 'Privacy:' section...
    • Make sure "Allow privacy-preserving measurement of ad effectiveness" and "Block all cookies" are unchecked.
  4. Click "Websites" at the top.
    • Set "When visiting other websites:" to Off.
    • Under "General" on the left side menu, click "Content Blockers"
    • At the bottom of the right area, set "When visiting other websites:" to Off.
  1. Click "Extensions" at the top.
    • If this says "No Extensions", there is nothing for you to do here.
    • However, if this says anything else, we will need a screenshot for each time you have to scroll down. You will need to paste as a reply to the email thread you have going with our support team for them to look at this list and determine if any of the Extension programs being used could be causing the ad block message to appear.
  2. Lastly, please open a new browser window or tab and go to the website where you saw the ad block message. Refresh the page a few times.
