Visitor Tracking
Connect creates a profile for every visitor. Whether they’re authenticated or anonymous, each visitor is assigned a unique identifier and can have first party data collected and stored. A filterable list of visitors is available in the app, and each individual visitor has a profile page where all first party data and subscriptions can be managed.
Visitor Segmentation
Visitors can be grouped into segments using a feature rich ruleset. Most analytics reports can be viewed by segment, providing deeper insights into the value each segment of visitors and their behavior. This affords a wealth of new opportunity for understanding visitors and optimizing Journeys.
Targeting Segments
Targeting segments encompass the same set of targeting attributes available to target Journeys to visitors. They are not stored on a visitor permanently, but evaluated on every page view. Targeting segments can be used across Journeys, simplifying configuration for Journey behavior amongst a specific set of visitor behavior. Visitors do not belong to a Targeting Segment long term, but often move in and out of them based on their behavior.

Visitor Segments
Visitor segments use first party data to group visitors, and are stored on visitors as first party data. While visitors can move in and out of they are often more permanent. Visitor segments can also be used across Journeys to target a common set of visitors.
Example
Visitor Segments can be used to target someone that has expressed interest in sports via a data offer.
GAM KVP Integration
Visitor and Targeting Segments can be sent to GAM via KVPs automatically set by Admiral. Both the key and value are customizable.

Connect makes collecting and storing first party data easy.
Data Offers
Data Offers harness our powerful journey engine to ask visitors directly for virtually any kind of 1PD. Data Offers can be a standalone offer, or positioned next to another offer of any type (paid subscriptions, adblock recovery, social channels, newsletter signup, etc.) to give visitors a wide set of options for how they wish to exchange value.
JavaScript API
Visitor data fields can be set via the JavaScript API. Documentation for setting visitor data fields can be found here: Admiral API Documentation
Accounts API
Visitor data can also be accessed via a backend API we call Accounts API. This API can be used to access and set a visitor’s 1PD on the server as they browse the site. Accounts API enables publishers to utilize Connect as a full blown accounts system since 1PD can be accessed on the fly and
Zapier
Visitor data can move bi-directionally via Zapier. React to visitor data change events in Admiral on other platforms or send visitor data to Admiral from other platforms. The visitor ID must be passed back to Admiral via the Zapier trigger and can be included in a custom link offer in an Admiral engagement via a template string.
