ON A COMPUTER
The Customer Love team sometimes uses Zoom to set up web calls to troubleshoot an issue with users in real-time. This lets us both see the same thing and work through the issue together.
We will need you to share your screen, how to do so has been detailed below:
- Click the link to enter the Zoom web call.
- Make sure "Computer Audio" is selected and then click "Join with computer audio".
- Please do one of the following, either one will work...
- At the top, go to "Meeting" and then select "Start Share"
- OR
- Swirl your mouse around until you see icons at the bottom of the window and click "Share Screen" (see blue button below).
- Once you click "Start Share" or "Share Screen", you will see a pop up with many possible things to share, click the view that says something like Desktop/Monitor/Screen # OR select the web browser window that you wish to work in throughout this web call to troubleshoot this issue in. Once you have a screen highlighted in blue, click "Share" in the bottom left hand of the pop up window.
- You will see this bar in the frame and at any time you can use "Stop Share" to end sharing your screen.
ON AN ANDROID PHONE
- Click link in email.
- If the Zoom App is outdated, you will be prompted at this step to update the App for you are able to do anything else. And you may need to then go back and reclick the link
- Type in your name.
- Accept permissions needed to be allowed, either while using the app or only this time, but do not click "Don't Allow"
- Turn your video cam off or on as you wish. and click Join
- Tap the screen to bring up a menu of icons along the bottom of the phone display, Click Share icon, scroll down and click screen, allow permissions again, either while using or only this time, but not don't allow. A pop up will come up asking "Start recording or casting with Zoom?" click 'Start Now' button.
