How To Require Consent Refresh For All Visitors
Feature Will Allow Publishers To Reset The Consent Status For All Users. Primary Use Case Is When A Publisher Launches PUR And Wants To Force All Visitors To Choose Consent Or Pay.
Require Consent
The image above shows where Publishers can set a Consent Refresh (Consent Journey > Edit Schedule). To reset the TC String for all visitors, select a date and enable the toggle.
When a returning visitor comes to site and has a previous TC String with a date later than the one selected, the visitor is prompted with the CMP and required to make a new consent selection.
How do I ensure returning visitors see the new PUR wall?
You can use the new Require Consent Refresh feature. By setting a manual expiration date for the TC String, any visitor with an older consent string will be treated as a "net-new" visitor and prompted to choose between consenting or taking the offer.
